Your Evolution Is Calling – It’s Your Quickening

Have you noticed lately that it seems like we are being called to speed up our evolution? That is, it seems to me that we are being asked to move more quickly to get our lessons so that we can get on with an even more profound shift in consciousness, which will uplevel our ability to contribute our gifts more richly, more comprehensively and more joyously.

Recently, I’m noticing that there are opportunities galore to wake up and step up in a big way. In case you don’t know what that kind of opportunity looks like, here are a few examples: something goes a completely different direction than you’d planned and you have to figure out how to handle something you have no idea how to approach, someone upsets or aggravates you in a way that just won’t “let go”, or you have a thought pattern that continues to repeat (sometimes over years) that isnâ??t serving you but takes up a lot of mindspace without feeling good about it.

Each of these qualifies as a learning / healing opportunity, because you are being asked to go beyond what you already know on a rational level to get a new experience. And sometimes that experience means going back to where you picked up the pattern of thought / feeling / behavior in the first place (which means you get to uncork that stuck place and experience it all over again to release itâ?¦ but I digress).

If we haven’t gotten our lessons, they will show up for us ever-so-patiently until we get through them. Hopefully, we learn them the first time but if not, we will get the opportunity again. My belief is that we are always creating that which we need to get to our next level, including those types of learning / healing opportunities. And it seems like those opportunities are coming faster as we are called to become more of who we are in the world.

3 Things You Can Do Today:

1. Look at your mirrors. That is, everything that is in your outer world is mirroring whatâ??s in your inner world â?? “as without is within”. Consider your relationships, how you spend your time and energy, what you think about, the language you use, your environmentâ?¦ any place you experience something that is “off” or no longer reflects who you are is a learning / healing opportunity for your own personal â??quickeningâ?.

2. Examine your internal world. Just as the outer world has mirrors for you, look within for stuck places, body clues, numerical threads (such as moving every two years) and habitual thought or behavioral patterns that no one else can see, but are clearly in the process of manifesting in your external world. Once you identify whatâ??s going on, you are now at conscious choice to release or create it.

3. Do a ritual. Rituals are a big name for something really simple â?? essentially, it’s sacred time set aside for something that matters. Everyone has early morning rituals, for example â?? from we get up to brush our teeth and start our day in the same way to our meditation practices. In this case, you can create and use a ritual, or sacred act with focused time, to release whatever is holding you back from your best and highest good. For example, you may want to write out whatever is not working for you on a piece of paper, then burn it to release that energy to the universe, while saying a prayer that anchors your intentions for the ritual. A note of caution: be careful for what you ask for, because you will get it!

Honor your own quickening process to pace the universe’s guidance in helping you to express who you are more fully.
