I’m amazed at how irate some people get over their own inability to read what is written in big bold letters. Amazon is selling multiple versions of TTax bundled with different services. If you need to file state taxes, then go find the version that has that included. For those of us living in Texas and other states without a state income tax, we are happy that there is a TTax Deluxe without the State filing option. It saves me a few bucks. If you need to file a state income tax, then be sure you purchase the version that includes that. Don’t blame Amazon.com.

I haven’t installed this yet as it’s not the beginning of the year and Turbo tax never starts their downloads until after the 1st of the year. But the delivery of the software was great after they released it.

Turbo Tax has changed their packages, so be careful that you order the right one. Other than that, like usual, it is a good way to do your taxes, very easy and accurate.

I’ve been using Turbotax Deluxe for over 10 years now. I love this product. Usually I buy it from a box store here in Kansas. But this year I ordered it from Amazon as a download. In the product description, there is a chart that shows which versions include what features. For Deluxe, the Sate return is included as a free download. HOWEVER, this is not true if you order the version Amazon calls “TurboTax Deluxe Federal + efile 2009.” I called Amazon customer service and was very pleased with the immediate response that they had refunded me for an otherwise non-refundable return policy on downloaded products. I now understand that some people, like Texas and Florida residents, do not want the State Return in their product and that’s why Amazon sells two different products. They said they would fix the charts that indicate a free state return. The product is excellent and so is Amazon customer service.
