| This is one of the best match 3 games out there. Graphics are exceptional for a match 3, game play enticing. Call of Atlantis (the sequel) is just as much fun. With try-it-before-you-buy-it, you can't lose. |

Just Challenging Enough

| I enjoy Match 3 Games, but have been disappointed with a few that I have downloaded. Sometimes I get towards the end of a game and hit a level that is just too hard for me to finish in the allotted time period, especially without using all the bonuses and time extensions. The Rise of Atlantis is pretty hard, but not impossible. You travel to 7 ancient civilizations and collect pieces of an artifact representing each country over several levels of game play. The games get pretty intense at the last two countries, and bonuses and lives collected start disappearing quick. But the gamemakers are smart enough to give you the chance to get a couple of more chances to recoup your advantage without making it easy to finish. |

I played through all the levels/games once. It then seems to hint on the final screen that there are further adventures as you go through all the levels again. So I played through them 2 more times, practically the same games each time. You accrue more extra time, bombs, lightening bolts and switching icons.
Overall it is fun and interesting. You are matching three or more items on the screen at a time to clear them. Plus moving the four helpers to drop off the screen to gain them. As you go up in levels you run into stone walls, frozen squares, locked squares and other hazards that you have to work around to match pieces. |

This is in the same mold with games like Bejeweled, Kahuna, Jewel Quest, 7 Wonders, and probably there are tons more versions of this game out there. All of the above are fun to play with. Repetitive, yes, but it is engaging and entertaining that is why everybody keeps on doing it again and again.
I like the educational part that comes with this game. It teaches a little bit of history about the ancient cities of legendary Atlantis, Babylon and the surrounding areas each time you complete a level. The graphics are exceptional, the sound effects are dramatically exciting. Been playing this game more as opposed to the similar games mentioned above.
