USE NICOTINE FOR CLOTS??? What?? This might scare you and your doc…Hi, I am 6 months out of the hospital for femoral DVT and have been on Nicotine therapy for just over three months now. Read my text for more info. I AM TRYING THE USE OF NICOTINE GUM WITH EXERCISE TO STIMULATE NEW COLLATERAL VEIN GROWTH (Researchers at Stanford and other universities have shown it to be effective in mice). DO NOT USE NICOTINE IF YOU HAVE OR THINK YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF CANCER OR TUMOR. DO NOT EXPECT YOUR DOC OR ABOUT ANYONE ELSE TO GO ALONG WITH THIS IDEA-IT HAS NOT BEEN DONE ON PEOPLE AND WOULD THEREFORE NEVER BE ALLOWED AS A SAFE AND TESTED TREATMENT. EXPECT YOUR DOC TO SAY: “I wouldn’t do it”, “The nicotine will constrict your veins”, “Sounds dangerous to me”, “You know nicotine causes hardening of the arteries”, etc. MY VASCULAR SPECIALIST- when asked if nicotine would cause a problem with vein hardening or anything else as long as I am staying fit and using for no more than a year-replied “NO”. How does Quicken actually keep track of my money?

I am considering purchasing Quicken but I’d like to know more about how it keeps track of my money… does it have a check registry or a way to ‘balance my books’? I guess what I mean is, can I use Quicken as my checkbook instead of pencil and paper like I use now? Can someone fill me in? The website wasn’t very helpful. Thanks.

I am new to Quicken and am wondering how I can have Quicken 2006 keep up with my bank checking account. I have read forums etc, but am still confused. If my bank is not listed as one of “quickens online banks” do I need to download the info. myself from the bank? If so how? Or do I have to enter in each transaction daily? If so then the programs pointless.
