I was one of the Beta testers on this product and am very pleased with it. Even the beta was solid. Install was effortless, initial setup took a little time but was worth it. Feature/function and price is tough to beat and I’d recommend this personal finance product to anyone.

I wanted to move away from the Excel report I’ve been using for the past 7 years, I thought Quicken’s cool graphs will be a plus. I never used Quicken before but I thought I’ll give it a try. This program may be easy for people used to it but for someone unfamiliar to the software is AWFUL, I tried Help in the menu bar several times (useless). Also tried looking for the manual, you have to purchase the guide separately…not happening.
Although is nice to have the graphs, they’re worthless if the information is gathering is incorrect. I don’t have 3 hours to waste trying to figure it out so I’m returning the software and sticking to my good old Excel file.

Can anyone help me? The only “help” or “support” options for this product are to page through billions of questions in Quicken’s online forums. Quicken is not updating properly with my bank or showing correct balances when I download directly from the bank. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO THIS WITHOUT BECOMING IRREPARABLY FRUSTRATED. If you WERE an MS Money user, this is NOT a program you can easily learn. I’ll be buying a $30 how-to book to go with this $30 software. EXTRMELY DISAPPOINTED.

im a previous quicken user .prior to the starter 2010 download i was using 2007 deluxe.the problem with the software is that it will tell you it doesnt import files from deluxe or higher but it does.the starter edition automatically finds them on your computer and then wont run because it brings up a dialog box telling you you have to upgrade and shuts back down if you click cancel .it removes previous versions of quicken but not the backup files .if you uninstall the 2010 starter edition and remove your backup folders from your computer and reinstall 2010 starter it works.i had to reinstall 2 times before i figured out what the problem was.
