Very Addicting!

This game is great! It is very addicting--you won't even realize where the hours have gone. I haven't quite beaten the "Quest" mode yet, but I am getting there. The game works fine on my Vista laptop. The only negatives are that you can't earn more than 20 lives and that sometimes those dumb coins get completely in the way! They may earn you bonuses when you match them, but man, can they be annoying. But hey, the game was free, and free for hours of entertainment is definitely a good value.
The graphics are fine but the story is just in the way of getting to more puzzles. I read one or two of the journal entries, but found I just wanted to get to the next level. I've been playing the game so much, even my dreams have jewel boards in them. I was hoping to beat the game this weekend so I could get back to my normal life, but the "Back to Africa" time through is pretty tough so I don't know that I'll make that goal. |

| A great puzzle game. Though all puzzle games are addicting, this one is more challenging than most. |

| No problems with Windows Vista on a Dell XPS M1730. This is one of the best game series ever created. I love them all. I especially appreciate the fact that the developers are always open to including new types of game play (like solitaire and hidden object). For the cost of a free trial download, you should try all the Jewel Quests. |
No crashes for me

I've run this on two computers, a desktop with XP Home and a laptop with XP Pro, and it hasn't crashed once.
I'm about a third of the way through the third level.
The game is timed but the pace isn't frantic. Instead of just getting faster as one advances, as so many games do, this one gets more complicated. For example, some jewels are hidden under rocks, or every square must be cleared twice, or little monkey mask things can reset squares if not cleared properly.
I've gotten good enough, after losing a few times, that I've got the maximum of 99 special moves and twenty lives, but I'm still having fun playing. Each set offers new challenges.
Update: I have since replaced my XP Home computer with one running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, and I have still had no crashes. I wonder if it's a video driver issues for those having problems. |

Hey, I just burned this one onto a CD, and put the CD in my TOASTER, and not only did the game not work, but it burned my HOUSE DOWN. I give this a negative infinity stars; stupid game.
I'm just posting this to offset the one-star review from the mac-tard. |
