| My wife bought this and loves it...played it non stop for a few nights. Best of all the game was free. Can't get much better than that. |

| I love this game. It is so hard though. If you like the rush you will like this game. It is awesome. |
Cake Mania Review

There is a review for this product that only criticizes the Amazon downloader. First and foremost the reviews are intended to provide insight on a product, not a delivery method. I would hate to see reviews on a book that say the shipping guy came in for coffee and hung out, when you try to kick him out he takes your book as well. I would venture a guess that you were too busy thinking of ways to get the delivery guy out of the house to even crack the spine.
Second, I am a computer professional and have over ten years of experience in the field. Anyone who has an issue with the Amazon downloader is a novice and an amateur. You see, Amazon has a problem in that they want to distribute digital products in a method that maintains the producers right to profit and the users desire for ease of use. When you go through trying to circumvent the system because you are a paranoid nut, of course you will have issues. By the way, the real reason your stuff was missing is because they are executables and the restore point without those will remove them. An installation file is not a document to Windows, rather a potential reason for your use of the restore point.
You are using your computer wrong if you set a restore point for every little thing you download from a known and reliable source. Restore points are ideally for major system upgrades, hardware changes, and software with an unknown origin.
Also, there is an option in the downloader to not boot with the computer, and also the ability to select the download location. I would suggest going over software thoroughly to verify that it doesn't have the features you need before you go nuts and start using Windows Restore point. Ultimately, Amazon wants you to buy from them, they provide this tool so buying is easy, and they make it customizable enough so you don't uninstall it and continue to make purchases.
If you are also a computer nerd who knows what they are talking about, please thumbs up this so that it takes precedence to the previous paranoid reviewer.
Third, Cake Mania is alright. Not great, not bad, three stars, I rated five so that my three star rank is achieved by evening out the 1-star review of the Downloader. |
A good starting Time Management Game

This was the first game of this type (time management) I've tried. I found that I really enjoyed the type of challenge these types of games present, so I thank Cake Mania for that.
At the time I played it I really liked it, but there are a lot of other games of this type out there that are better, including Cake Mania II and III. Once you play II and III, there is no going back to this one. I tried to play the original Cake Mania again recently and it and it is so simplistic by comaparison both in presentation and game flow that I was a bit bored by it.
So all in all, if you have never played this type of game before this is a good place to start. If you have, skip directly to Cake Mania III. |

| This game may seem childish for some but after a while you will find yourself addicted to it. It's simple but challenging. Overall, a great product and well worth the price. |
